SPRING CLASSES ARE FULL- Please watch for upcoming Fall Sessions
The Bay Area Humane Society offers after school programs for youth to get involved with the animals at the shelter and become advocates for their furry friends. Children for Humane Animal Treatment (CHAT) is an educational club that the Bay Area Humane Society is offering for youth ages 8-12. The club meets twice a month and teaches youth lessons about responsible pet ownership and how to provide the best possible care and future for companion animals.
Each term focuses on a different aspect of the relationship between humans and animals. Activities may include: Games, guest speakers, animal education, TLC time with the animals, and making treats/toys for animals.
The CHAT Club fee is $35.00 per term, payable before the first meeting. The cost for a CHAT Club t-shirt is $10.00. Club t-shirts are required and can be used throughout the year.
You may sign up your child with the online form below or you can print out the brochure here (if you would like to submit later)
*Parents do not need to attend meetings but are expected to pick their children up by 6:30 pm. In case of bad weather during the winter months, CHAT Club will be cancelled when the Green Bay School District cancels school for that day.
CHAT Club Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, every other week from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
