Spring Schedule 2018 - HAS BEEN CANCELED - Fall 2018 dates will be released during Summer 2018.
The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus offers after-school programs for youth to get involved with the animals at the shelter and become advocates for their furry friends. Children for Humane Animal Treatment (CHAT) is a youth club that the WHS Green Bay Campus is offering for children ages 8-12. The club meets twice a month and teaches youth lessons about responsible pet ownership and how to provide the best possible care and future for companion animals.
Each term focuses on a different aspect of the relationship between humans and animals. Activities may include: Games, guest speakers, animal education, TLC time with the animals, and making treats/toys for animals.
The CHAT Club fee is $35.00* per term, payable before the first meeting. (See cancellation policy below.) The cost for a CHAT Club t-shirt is $10.00*. Club t-shirts are required and can be used throughout the year.
*Parents do not need to attend meetings but are expected to pick their children up by 6:30 pm. In case of bad weather during the winter months, CHAT Club will be canceled when the Green Bay School District cancels school for that day.
*REFUND Policy: CHAT Club registration fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend CHAT, you may offer your registration to a friend of the same age. Please contact the volunteer coordinator to notify us immediately. We are unable to issue refunds if your child does not attend. The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus reserves the right to cancel CHAT. In the unlikely event that we cancel the entire session (all classes for Fall or Spring), you will receive a full refund or you can have your child attend the next session.
